book-2-cover We have come a long way in a short time, the social media explosion has revolutionized how we interact with one another. The present exchange of views, opinions and supposed truth is a mind boggling ocean of information that becomes somewhat irrelevant only because it is so exhaustive for anyone to begin to seriously consider all options at the click of one’s finger.

In this vast mixture of human ideas, wisdom and understanding the Christian Church in the West is vying for its place to be heard along with all the other religions new and old, philosophers, great thinkers and debaters – a fact that is not new. What is new however, is that the North American Church has lost its voice and the reason it has lost its ‘thunder’ is because it has lost the central message of the Gospel which is the Cross!

This book makes a candid attempt to reassert the eternal and central truth of the Gospel which is the Cross of Jesus Christ and illustrates that there can be no good news without a cross at the center of the Christian message. We must deal head-on with the various purveyors of ‘truth’ to find the origins of their doctrines. Let us not settle for anything less than Biblically based teaching, not the fabrications of a fallen world or of some dark kingdom.

All disciples of Jesus Christ would agree that the transformation that we so desperately seek begins by embracing God’s ways as opposed to our own. Yet the practical application of this truth eludes us so often only because we are still so strong in ourselves. Perhaps it is because we are more comfortable being God’s counsellors instead of His followers. We must yield to this seldom talked about process of sanctification, because it is here, only in this place of consecration, that God can set us apart for Himself at the cost of our own will and of our own lives to be made into His image by learning His Ways.

The Gospel is NOT enough when the Church or the individual has left out the saving and sanctifying aspects of the Cross of Jesus Christ to live practice and teach a message of their own knowledge or inspiration. In stark contrast the Gospel IS enough because it was birthed in the heart of God and is equipped with an eternal grace and power within it to save, heal and deliver and ultimately transform each disciple who comes to God by way of the Cross of Jesus Christ.
